Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 July 2026 · This English version is the binding version of this policy.
MultiPhoneCam ("the App") is built around a simple principle: your video, audio and recordings never leave your devices. The App has no cloud, requires no account, and its developer operates no servers that receive your data.
1. Who we are
MultiPhoneCam is developed and published by an independent developer. Contact for all privacy matters: support@multiphonecam.com.
2. What the App does with your data
The App connects several of your own devices over your local network (WiFi or a local hotspot created by the App) using peer-to-peer WebRTC connections. Within this local connection the App processes:
- Camera video — streamed live between your devices and, if you choose, recorded.
- Microphone audio — streamed live between your devices and, if you choose, recorded.
- Photos and video/audio recordings — saved to the storage of the device that made them.
- Local network information (device IP addresses on your network, device names, battery and storage levels) — used only to connect and display your devices to each other.
All of this stays on your devices and inside your local network. Nothing listed above is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not collect, upload, store or view your video, audio, photos or recordings.
- We do not require or offer user accounts, and we do not collect names, email addresses or contacts through the App.
- We do not show ads and we do not embed advertising or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties, because we never receive it in the first place.
4. Permissions the App requests
- Camera — to capture live video and take photos/record video on camera devices.
- Microphone — to stream and record audio, including the audio-only and baby monitor modes.
- Storage / media — to save and play back recordings on the device.
- Local network / WiFi — to discover and connect your devices; the App may create a local hotspot for offline use.
- Notifications / foreground service — to keep streaming and recording running reliably while the screen is off or the App is in the background.
Each permission is used only for the function above. You can revoke permissions at any time in the system settings; the related functions will stop working.
5. Purchases
The optional Pro upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Google Play (and, in the future, Apple's App Store). Payment and account handling is performed by the store under its own privacy policy. The developer receives no payment card details and no personal payment data — only anonymous confirmation that a purchase is valid.
6. This website
The website multiphonecam.com does not use advertising or profiling cookies. The web server (operated by our hosting provider) keeps standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, time) for security and operational purposes. If you use the contact form, we process the data you enter (name, email address, message content) solely to answer you, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Contact messages are kept in our support mailbox for up to 2 years and are not shared with anyone except providers of our email infrastructure.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
Because the App sends us no data, in most cases there is nothing we could access, correct or delete — your data is under your direct control on your own devices. For data you sent us yourself (e.g. a support email), you have the right to access, rectify and erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Write to support@multiphonecam.com.
8. Children
The App is not directed at children. The baby monitor mode is a tool for parents and guardians; devices and the App are operated by adults.
9. Changes
If we ever change how the App handles data (for example, by adding an optional remote-access feature that uses a relay server), we will update this policy before the change ships and describe exactly what is transmitted and why. The current version is always at multiphonecam.com/privacy.html.
